As a Fullstack Developer at Spond, you will be a key member of a cross-functional product team with a strong technical focus. We take full ownership of everything we build — from initial user insights and design sketches to coding, operations, and continuous improvement.
The Event functionality is the engine that powers Spond. Whether it involves training sessions, tournaments, volunteer tasks, or social gatherings, your code will ensure that organising runs smoothly for coaches, parents, and athletes alike.
What you’ll be working on
- Building and scaling services in Java and/or Go
- Designing robust and efficient APIs and JSON integrations
- Contributing to frontend development in React and JavaScript
- Ensuring stability through thorough testing, code reviews, and clear documentation
- Improving performance, reliability, and scalability in high-traffic systems
- Collaborating closely with the Product Manager and Designer to create the best user experiences
What we look for:
- 3–5 years of experience as a developer with strong backend skills
- Confidence in Java and/or Go
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React
- A solid understanding of API design and modern web architecture
Applications from experienced backend developers will also be considered.
